However, their tune begins to change when they are faced with the same matter in their personal lives e.g. when it is their son who turns out to be gay. They then begin to preach acceptance & accommodation of the said persons because it affects now people who are close to them. The correlation between between model behaviour and acceptance of a person behaviour should determine the direction a church leader needs take in-order to influence church members behaviours, attitudes and opinions.
