This work was a reaction necessitated by an American Physician and Researcher who conducted a survey on Religious Women in Central and Eastern Africa on the abuse of religious women by Priests. In her research findings and conclusion she asserted that African culture of silence makes it difficult for Africans to persevere in Celibacy or Consecrated Religious Life. This reading brought many questions that prompted me to undertake a research and find out to what extent African Culture (ATR) supported or did not support Christian Consecrated Religious Life (CCRL), a case study that was conducted in Nairobi from 2009 to 2011 in Langata among Consecrated Religious. This publishing covers the whole research, data collection instruments, analyses, findings, conclusions and recommendations for further studies. I therefore publish this academic work to provide a scholarly handbook that would contribute to knowledge.
