In this project work, a fractional order model is be constructed which describes the transmission dynamics of computer virus and also study the control mechanisms of the spread.The basic reproduction number was calculated using next generation matrix. The various equilibrium points were calculated using the Matignon perturbation method for the disease free equilibrium (DFE) and the Jacobian transformation was used for the endemic equilibrium point (EEP). The stability conditions of the equilibria were derived. To illustrate our theoretical analysis, some numerical simulations were carried out using Adams-type predictor-corrector method to show the behavior of the solutions of the proposed fractional order system. The results provide a theoretical basis to control the spread of computer virus.The result obtained showed the factors responsible for the spread of computer virus and methods on how to mitigate computer virus spread were discussed. The simulations also showed that the fractional model gives a better result than the classical models.
