Substantial evidence has implicated Porphyromonas gingivalis (P.g) and Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans (A. a) to be the pathogenesis of the chronic periodontitis. Ozone is a powerful antimicrobial agent which possess an effect against bacteria, fungi, protozoa, and viruses by damaging its cytoplasmic membrane.
