Rezension zu „Asian Management in Transition: Emerging Themes “
'This is an ambitious and intellectually stimulating work. The authors identify an emergent Asian paradigm of business management embedded in the unique institutional and cultural settings of eight national societies. Their analysis takes the reader beyond simple stereotypes of 'Asian Values'. They explain 'entrepreneurial development' as a product of shifting socio-political transformations in each country. The authors combine originality in analysis with a comprehensive and reliable historical account of the socio-political evolution of each national business system.' - Ray Loveridge, Said Business School, Oxford, UK 'Asian Management in Transition offers a concise introduction to each of these nation's usages and is both user-friendly and readable. The coverage of their practices and their responses to the challenges of globalization is of a high order. The book is eminently suitable for undergraduate and MBA courses specifically directed towards the Asia Pacific region. It may be recommended for both students and practitioners who need to become better acquainted with Asian management.' - Malcolm Warner, Professor and Fellow Emeritus, Wolfson College and Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, UK 'In this book a group of expert regional insiders has made a successful attempt to analyze contemporary management issues in Asia in their socio-economic and cultural setting. A rich source for both Western and Asian students and businessmen, who want to acquaint and update themselves about the rapidly changing world of business in Asia.' - Joop Stam, Erasmus University Rotterdam, The Netherlands 'Drawing on the long and varied experiences of teaching and consulting in Asia, the editors have outlined the subtlety of culture, society and competitive conditions with an integrative model of considerable insight. I strongly recommend this book for people interested in furthering their understanding about Asian enterprise management.' - Professor Fuming Wang,
