High Performance Concrete (HPC) have been preferred mostly in structural component with increased compression demand for example compression members of multi storied building, piers and abutments of bridges. Structural component casted with the HPC will reduce the concrete cross section as compare to normal concrete. Due the reduction in cross section of structural component, we can get more floor space. The stiffness of structure may be increased by adopting HPC instead of normal strength concrete. Because High-performanceconcrete has greater modulus of elasticity as compare to usual concrete.
