However, cellular immunity of the insects is mostly confined to haemocytes, because they are capable of ingesting all types of microbes like viruses, bacteria, fungi and protozoan. This facilitates the insects to counteract the pathogenic impact of infectious microorganisms. It is well known that larval extract of housefly are capable of healing the wounds.
