The extinct Carcharocles megaladon is scientifically believed to be the largest carnivorous shark that ever lived our seas. According to various findings, the great white shark is not descended from these prehistoric sea monsters. Scientific researchers have thus brought up evidence showing that the great white shark has descended from the broad-toothed mako sharks while comparing the physical shapes of different shark teeth. Scientists have named the ancient form of white shark as the Carcharodon hubbelli. In addition to this, scientific researchers have mentioned that unlike the modern white sharks which have serrations on their teeth for consuming marine mammals, mako sharks do not possess any as they used to feed mainly on fish. Ahead of all, experts have stated that teeth are the key to the connection. The triangular teeth in Carcharodon hubbelli are not quite as serrated as those of the great white shark, for example, but more so than Carcharodon hastalis...
