The green tender fruits of okra are good source of carbohydrates, protein, vitamins (A, B and C) and rich in calcium, potassium and other mineral matters. Dry seeds of okra contain 18-20% oil and 20-23% crude protein. In CCSHAU, several research workers have evaluated okra genotypes generated as well as collected from different resources, which exhibited immense range of variation in morphological traits.
