Rezension zu „Clinical Radiology of the Horse “
"The third edition of Clinical Radiology of the Horse has been substantially updated and expanded from the second edition but it still remains true to the format that has made it so valued by equine practitioners and specialists. Although this edition remains focused on equine radiography and radiology, alternative imaging techniques that are increasingly available to practitioners are among the new information and updated literature references. The strengths of this book include the abundance of illustrations as well as the incorporation of the clinical experience of the authors in the discussion of disease conditions. The excellent line drawings remain from the previous editions, but many of the original radiographic illustrations have been replaced by digital images; this results in increased image quality in the text. A CD-ROM with images and illustrations from the book is included. The CD-ROM is searchable by words included in the image captions nad can be used as a quick reference or for client education... An exceptional reference that should be in the library of every equine practice." - Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association, June 2009"This is the only equine radiology book that I have found to be clinically relevant for everyday practice, both in a general ambulatory practice and in a specialty practice. The imagines and illustrations, as well as the descriptions on technique, positioning, and radiographic conditions, set this book apart from others on the subject. This third edition is a welcome update." - Doody's Reviews, April 2009
"[This book] illustrates the continuing importance of radiology in equine veterinary medicine--notwithstanding the impact of other imaging techniques on our understanding. This book is an invaluable aid to obtaining and interpreting radiographic images of horses and should on the shelf of--and read by--all veterinary surgeons attempting to do so." - Veterinary Times, May 2009
