COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN FOREST RESOURCE MANAGEMENT.After the proclamation of the 2011 as the International Year of Forest and its biennial issue of State of the World's Forest, it has caused awakening in the minds of researchers to investigate the relationship between Communities and the Forest and recognised the contribution of Forest to sustainable Livelihoods and Poverty Alleviation while mitigating Climate Change since the natural forest milieu has always been considered by man as an unlimited reserve of natural resources, which has led to his continuous exploitation of nature for food and other livelihood options, a practice which continues to have an unintended but damaging effects on the environment.This study conducted by ATEMKENG ANDRE NDAH, will contribute to enhance the conservation of Mount Cameroon Forest Reserve Area of the Buea Sub-Division, Cameroon while considering Community property and sharing rights in Participatory Perspective, and also suggest mechanismsand strategies for integrating Community Participation in Sustainable Forest Resource Management in the Mount Cameroon Forest Reserve Area of the Buea Sub-Division.

Ndah, Atemkeng AndreATEMKENG ANDRE NDAH is a highly motivated, travelled and creative graduate with practical skills in Natural Resource Management and Community Development. He studied at the University of Buea, Cameroon where he obtained a B.Sc. in Sociology/Anthropology in 2011. Presently he holds a Masters of Science Degree in Environmental Anthropology.
