Predominantly, significant attention is given to the transplanted western legal principles, rules and cases. However, in 2007 the legal education reform took place in Ethiopia revisited the curriculum and inculcated customary law for the first time in the history of Ethiopian legal education. And yet, in a country nicknamed as mosaic of culture and the majority of her people ruled under customary laws, academic/research works in this field still insignificant. Thus, this maiden venture is produced to help students of law and legal practitioners to have basic understanding of customary law. This book has ten chapters. Ch.1. Culture. Ch.2. Customary Law.
