The Author: Born in 1962, Stephen Candia was ordained a priest for the Catholic Diocese of Arua (Uganda) in 1990. He completed his basic philosophical studies in Alokolum National Major Seminary, Gulu (Uganda) in 1985 and his theological studies in Ggaba National Major Seminary, Kampala (Uganda) in 1989. After serving in Arua Diocese as a priest in different capacities, he started his studies in 1998 which led to a Ph.D. in theology in 2004 from the Philosophisch-Theologische Hochschule Sankt Georgen, Frankfurt am Main.
