The field experiment was conducted during the kharif season of the year 2018 at two different locations (i) Regional Research Station, Anand Agricultural University, Anand and (ii) Research Station for Irrigated Crops, Anand Agricultural University, Thasra. The soil of the Anand experimental field was loamy sand in texture, low in organic carbon, medium in available nitrogen and phosphorus, high in available potassium and deficient in available Zn and Fe while, the soil of Thasra experimental field was clay loam in texture, medium in organic carbon, available nitrogen and phosphorus, high in available potassium and medium in available Zn and Fe. The recommended dose of NPK was applied to rice crop as per standard practices. Thus, the findings of the present study suggest that the agronomic approach for optimum rice yield and enhancement of micronutrients concentration could be better accomplished with the supplementation of 75% dose of either Fe or Zn or 100% dose of both Fe and Zn were found beneficial on heavy soil of Thasra. In light textured soils of Anand application of both Fe and Zn @ 75% dose found beneficial to get optimum rice yield.
