The Author: Teresa Kennedy is an assistant professor of English literature at Mary Washington College. She directs the Simpson Program in medieval literature, and teaches medieval and Renaissance literature. She earned her Ph.D. in comparative literature from the Catholic University of America and is currently working on a study of Boccaccio.
