The quest for enhanced bioactivity has led to isolation and derivatization of embelin. This book provides an insight into the effects of embelin's chemical derivatization on antimicrobial activities against Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli and Candida albicans.
