Among the many parameters used to characterize the quality of an embedded system design, power consumption has emerged as one of the most important. In this book we present a framework to efficiently estimate power consumption of embedded system-on-a-chip (SoC) designs. The book is designed to provide both researchers and practitioners with a new way to look at some of the challenges that characterize the fast advancing field of embedded systems.
