Evaluation of the Russian Banking Market and selected means of Corporate Finance

The author will break down the system into its single functions in order to assess its applicability and efficiency on the market. The focus will be on both, the theoretical and the practical aspects and variables which exert influence on the banking market and the banking system. The criteria for evaluation ought to be the extent of execution of the financial intermediation function, the regulatory instruments applied, the degree of independence, the accessibility of capital and the degree of corruption. As part of the assesment a survey including the major Russian banks and industry experts has been conducted. Additionally, the author will assess two means of corporate finance (capital markets and micro-finance) in terms of its availability on the Russian market.
