The Author: Patricia A. Talone is an associate professor at Gwynedd-Mercy College in Pennsylvania. Dr. Talone also serves as ethics consultant for Mercy Health Corporation of Southeastern Pennsylvania and advises the ethics committees of several hospitals and nursing homes. She holds a Ph.D in Theological Ethics from Marquette University and lectures nationally on the topic ot health-care ethics. She is a Sister of Mercy of Merion, Pennsylvania.
