Produktinformationen zu „Focus on Composing Photos “
Throughout the evolution of photography, from the most primitive light boxes to today¿s highly sophisticated consumer cameras, one thing remains the same: good composition is crucial to producing a good image, whatever the medium. There is no amount of digital trickery that can (truly) fix a badly composed photo. Given the importance of the topic, there are surprisingly few good, recent books on the subject, and much of the material found on the web tends to overcomplicate the matter. This new book breaks composition down to the simplest form, so that even the most beginner photographer will be able to learn how to take better pictures. Most importantly, the easy-to-follow, conversational writing style will ensure that the reader actually remembers what they read once they¿re behind the camera lens. Specific subject matter includes the most popular with beginner photographers, such as people, animals, nature, and travel. Aimed more at explaining the basics of composition to beginners in a creative, engaging manner, the targeted audience for Focus on Composing Photos is at a lower level than those reaching for Freeman's The Photographer's Eye. Explaining rules of composition with fun hands-on projects, this book differs from Zakia and Page's Photographic Composition: A Visual Guide, which dissects one image at a time to explain good composition.

Rezension zu „Focus on Composing Photos “
"Ensenberger - who was director of photography at Arizona Highways magazine for 25 years before turning full time to his own photography business - has a new book called 'Focus on Composing Photos' (Focal Press, $19.95). It's a concise course on the use of subject, light, color, composition and equipment to produce dramatic, memorable photos. Ensenberger also emphasizes another critical tool: gut instinct."--Arizona Daily Star
