Yann Arthus-Bertrand ist ein Starfotograf und großer Tierfreund. Seine Menschen- und Tierportraits drücken die Persönlichkeit jedes Wesens aus. U.a sind von ihm die Bildbände "Hunde-Menschen / Menschen-Hunde" und "Von Katzen und Menschen" erschienen.Er gilt daneben als erfolgreichster Luftbildfotograph unserer Zeit. Seine Leidenschaft für die Vogelperspektive entdeckte er während einer Ballonfahrt über die Savanne Kenias. Seit vielen Jahren veröffentlicht er seine Aufnahmen in GEO, und seine Bücher werden weltweit in hoher Auflage publiziert.
