Jeannie Novak is Lead Author and Series Editor of Delmar Cengage Learning's acclaimed Game Development Essentials series. She is Vice Chair of the Los Angeles chapter of the International Game Developers Association (IGDA-LA), Vice President of Women in Games International (WIGI), and CEO of Kaleidospace, LLC, which oversees the Indiespace social network and a game education consulting division. Jeannie has directed programs, developed curriculum, and taught at the Art Institute Online, Art Center College of Design,UCLA Extension, and the Academy of Entertainment & Technology at Santa Monica College. Jeannie has developed or participated in game workshops and panels at the Austin Game Developers Conference (GDC Online), Penny Arcade Expo (PAX), Macworld Expo, Game Education Summit, and LA Games Conference. She is ANIMIAMI's Game Conference Chair, SIGGRAPH 2010 session chair, and a member of the Game Education Summit advisory board and AIAS Online Excellence and Multiplayer Awardspanels. Jeannie received an M.A. in Communication Management from USC's Annenberg School and a B.A. in Mass Communication/Business Administration from UCLA. Jeannie is also an accomplished composer, recording artist, performer, and music instructor (piano/voice).Kevin Saunders, a game designer and producer for 13 years, has worked on projects with Atari, Electronic Arts, Lucas Arts, Nexon, Obsidian Entertainment, Sega, Square Enix, and Westwood Studios. He has been credited on seven shipped video games, with an average composite review score of 83%. Kevin was the lead designer and producer of Shattered Galaxy, which swept the 2001 Independent Games Festival and was recognized by GameSpot as the Most Innovative Game of the year and the Best Multiplayer Strategy Game of the year. Kevin is Creative Director at Alelo, a serious game company that focuses on communication skills training.
