The hair raising Handshake in Kenya was born not on the banks of the famous crocodile infested River Jordan according to Mr. Raila, and not even on the coast of the deep Red Sea, but on the grounds of the President's office at Harambee House in Nairobi on March 9th, 2018. That is when the new Joshua was threatened by crocodiles and he failed to cross the River to reach Canaan, God's Promised Land of honey and milk. The state of affairs in post-election Kenya from October 2017 was like the Jews in Egypt before God heard His peoples' cries of anguish and told Pharaoh: Let My People Go. It required a miracle and so the handshake was born! The crocodiles waiting for meat like they do at the Maara crossing point did not get a chance though still waiting with saliva pouring down their mouths like rain water. With two presidents in one country: His Excellence Uhuru Kenyatta the State President and Hounorable Raila Odinga the Peoples' President both sworn in and each claiming authority, Kenya needed a Moses and a Joshua to lead the people out of chaos, the kind of Pharaoh's Egypt and the crying Children of Israel. Kenyans needed a hand; fortunately they got two hands in the handshake.
