Bosnia and Herzegovina is the country most heavily affected by landmines in South East Europe. To coordinate the provision of aid and inform policy making, a national Landmine Victim Assistance Information System has been designed. A variety of stakeholders from different sectors are meant to use and contribute to the database. This study examines the possibilities for integrating routine health information with this new system, focusing on the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. A stakeholder analysis serves to capture the conceptualisations as well as the technical and statistical requirements. It highlights the constraints but also the strategic potential related to an inter-organisational information system in this setting.
