Infant feeding practices contribute directly to Sustainable Development Goal number 3 "Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages" hence the global partnership in developing clear guidelines on infant feeding. The exclusive breast feeding rate of 61 % nationally indicates that introduction of other foods starts early before the completion of the first 6 months. The availability of cow's milk and the notion that milk is a complete food only increases its use in infant feeding. Exposure to cow's milk has several health concerns that are detrimental to infants' health to include: low iron content, allergy and high renal solute load. The study objectives were; to assess the maternal level of knowledge on Unmodified Cow's Milk (UCM) for feeding infants 0-12 months, determine maternal attitude towards use of unmodified milk for feeding infants less than one year, establish the practices of mothers with infants less than one year old, on the use of unmodified milk for infant feeding and to describe the relationship between caretaker's socio demographic characteristics and use of unmodified milk for feeding infants less than one year.
