The theory and numerical implementation of Conditional Moment Closure and Eulerian Stochastic Field approaches are discussed in the context of Large-Eddy Simulation, with exemplary application to ignition modeling. In addition, te methodology proposed for the industrial design of combustion systems in aeroengines is presented.
