Almost all the larger mammals of peninsular India are observed in this area. The area has a good population of Elephant, Gaur, Sambar, Spotted Deer and Wild Boar. Other animals such as Bonnet Macaque, Common Langur, Sloth Bear, Tiger, Wild Dog, Panther, Jungle Cat, Malabar Giant Squirrel and Indian Hare are also seen in this region.
