First developed in the late 1930s, by Swiss chemist Albert Hoffman, LSD is a colorless, odorless, and mildly bitter solid synthetic crystalline compound of the ergoline family. Largely used in psychedelic therapy, LSD was recently the subject of researches carried out by a group of Norwegian scientists, who have discovered a potential beneficial of LSD drug on patients suffering of alcoholism.
