Harold Macmillan, British Prime Minister from 1957-1963 was the grandson of Daniel MacMillan (1813-1857), a Scottish crofter who founded Macmillan Publishers. Associated septs of the clan include: Baker, Baxter, Bell, Brown, Callum, Calman, Gibson, McGill, Milligan, Mullen and Walker.
