This book aimed to help medical and medical laboratory students to understand co-infection between malaria and schistosomiasis. The book covers topics related to malaria, schistosomiasis, epidemiology of co-infection, immune consequences of co-infection and impact of co-infection on anemia. Besides, the book focuses on practical part related so as to give the students idea and knowledge about schistosomiasis diagnosis by using direct microscopical examination and Kato-Katz technique and malaria diagnosis by using stained blood films and immune-chromatographic test.
