The rooting media having Soil + Vermicompost + Azospirillum and PGR having IBA 5000 ppm was proved best in comparison to other rooting media and PGR for pomegranate air layers. The rooting percentage, number of primary and secondary roots, length of primary roots and secondary roots, diameter of primary and secondary roots per air layer recorded maximum due to the above mixtures of rooting media as well as in IBA 5000ppm. The maximum success and survival percentage, number of branches, number of leaves and, leaf area index and leaf area duration per air layer were noted with Soil + Vermicompost + Azospirillum as well as in IBA 5000 ppm at 120 days after layering. However, this was followed by Soil + Vermicompost+ Pseudomonas and IBA 7500ppm. The minimum of these parameters was recorded under control. The rooting media having Soil + Vermicompost + Azospirillum and PGR having IBA 5000 ppm was proved best in comparison to other rooting media and PGR for pomegranate air layers.
