Logic-based methods have gained in importance in the field of computational linguistics as well as for representing various types of knowledge in natural language understanding systems. The volume gives an overview of recent results achieved within the LILOG project (LInguistic and LOgic methods for understanding German texts) - one of the largest research projects in the field of text understanding - as well as within related natural language understanding systems.
