Molecular Electronics can sustain the Moore's Law that is otherwise going to end by 2020.A great material Carbon Nanotube (CNT) is being investigated as a possible component for nanoelectronic circuits. It seems to be one of the perfect candidates to take us right to the end of Moore's Law curve. So certainly carbon nanotubes has a promising future.CNT is a molecule that possesses two important properties like high electrical conductivity and high tensile strength and can be used for charge transport in molecular electronics. Many experiments and theories have been carried out in attempt to characterize the charge transfer through them. From the literature it was observed that CNTs have extraordinary electrical conductivity, heat conductivity and mechanical properties.
