The central challenge of this modern world is the ability to communicate independently of cultural differences. Here is the role of new media, which can rightly function as a mediator in global awareness. One of the key contributions of new media is "It gives minority cultures a chance to become visible, confront stereotypical assumptions, and raise voice within a dominant majority" (Firat Büyükcoskun, 2015). Hence, the objective of this book is to discuss new media benefits and challenges and analyze its impact on intercultural processes.

Bouziane, KarimaKarima BOUZIANE is a Professor and researcher at Chouaib Doukkali University (UCD) Morocco. She holds a Doctoral Degree in Translation and Intercultural Studies, and Master's Degree in Cross-cultural Communication and Translation Studies from UCD. She is member of the Laboratory for Research on Intercultural Studies (LERIC) at UCD.
