After reading this book, you will be able to assess the new tools and features of ABAP (both design and development) within SAP NetWeaver 7.0 to 7.0 EHP2, and employ them effectively. Fully revised, updated and extended, the second edition is even more readable than the popular first edition, and assumes a scenario where a fictive university has just converted from SAP R/3 4.6C to SAP NetWeaver 7.0 (SAP Business Suite 7.0), this time with the default installation option of EHP2. Readers experience the entire development process of applications - design, development and testing of all areas - through the eyes of a developer, and walk away with a firm understanding of many of the newer technologies or design techniques that were not previously available in ABAP.
This book is not intended to teach basic ABAP skills. Instead, it shows you the new technologies and techniques that have been introduced to ABAP in the last few years - with a particular focus on the release 7.0 EHP2 delta in this edition.
