'Overcoming Knee Osteoarthritis' is a research based book. As we all know, knee osteoarthritis is one of the leading orthopedic condition all over the world.This book includes a 6 week research done on 60 patients of Knee Osteoarthritis in which effectiveness of hip strengthening exercises is compared with effectiveness of core stability exercises in patients typically having Patellofemoral Osteoarthritis.Patients were randomly divided into two groups of 30 each. Group A was allotted Hip strengthening exercises and group B was allotted Core stability exercises. At the beginning and at the end of 6 weeks, patients of both the groups were evaluated for Pain, Function and Quality of Life using suitable outcome measures. The study concluded that hip strengthening exercises are more effective than core strengthening in improving Pain and Function in patients with Patellofemoral Osteoarthritis.
