Up to now, the most studied polymer nanocomposites for packaging applications are starch and cellulose derivatives, chitosan, polylactic acid (PLA), polycaprolactone (PCL), polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), carboxyl methyl cellulose (CMC), and polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB).
