The Editors: Barbara Lewandowska-Tomaszczyk is a graduate of the University of Lódz , where she is currently Professor Ordinarius and Chair of English Language. Her research interests are primarily in semantics and the pragmatics of natural language, corpus linguistics, and their applications in translation studies and lexicography.
Patrick James Melia M.A. is a graduate of the Institute of Education, London University. He is a British Council funded Senior Lecturer in the Department of English Language, Lódz University. He teaches applied linguistics, foreign language teaching methodology and topics in SLA. His research interests are in second language learning/acquisition and learner corpora.
