In order to protect the core from meltdown, it is essential to monitor the coolant flow, effectively. The detection of loss of coolant must be done at a faster rate, to enable the emergency shutdown of the reactor safely. Hence, the changes in the coolant flowrate should be instantly tracked. This monograph deals with the design and development of Programmable System on Chip(PSoC) based digital processing system for tracking the dynamic changes in the coolant flowrate. PSoC is a dynamically re-configurable mixed signal array microcontroller which made the development of the critical instrumentation very simple. This monograph could be a good guide for anyone attempting to use PSoC to build signal processing for any application that requires fast dynamic response with minimal error.
