Rabindranath Tagore Secondary School was founded in 2003 and since then Mr. Mahend Gungaparsad has been its rector. The school is very famous for its discipline which is exemplary and it got 100% as passing rate for the SC Examinations consecutively down the years. RTSS got 1 student getting 9 as aggregates for SC Examinations for its 1st batch, 7 students getting 6 for its 2nd batch and 14 students getting 6 for its 3rd batch of students and it is also one of the best schools in Mauritius. The school also got 94% as passing rate for its 1st batch of HSC including 3 pupils ranked mainly on Technical and Arts side.
