Radiology Fundamentals

Radiology Fundamentals is designed to introduce students to the basic concepts of diagnostic imaging and role of current imaging modalities in patient care. From an introduction to reading conventional radiographic films the book devotes chapters to all other major imaging modalities, including ultrasound (US), computerized tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Each chapter provides students with fundamental biochemistry and pathophysiology concepts necessary to understand the radiologist s use of each imaging modality in diagnosing diseases, disorders, and conditions in patients. Written in a clear and concise format, the authors have divided the book into sections by radiology sub-specialty, and have included illustrations and images to highlight key teaching points from the text.
