Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Scientists have made a new discovery about the human brain! The discovery has been effected by analyzing the functional brain scans of humans and of rhesus monkeys and comparing the two during different activities. Ahead of all, researchers have made use of the functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging scans to observe activity in the brain. To put it bluntly, the functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging has as aim to scan and map functional activity in the brain by detecting changes in blood flow. Subsequently, the oxygen content and the amount of blood in a given brain area is going to vary according to a particular task, thus allowing activity to be tracked. In fact, scientific researchers have found a pair of functional networks in the human cerebral cortex which are not present in the brains of rhesus macaque monkeys. Hence, this new discovery has led the field of science and research to theorize that the biological networks were added during the evolution from ancient primates to the modern day homo sapiens...
