Organotin (IV) compounds are widely used as PVC stabilizers, fungicides, wood and stone preservatives, surface disinfectants, antifouling agents in paints for ships and glass coating operations. Di and trimethyltin compounds have high mammalian toxicity and their solubilty in water makes them very dangerous for aquatic living organisms. This book basically conclude the speciation study of Organotin compounds with biologically important ligands ( amino acids, carboxylic acids and catecholic ligands ) . Apart from the field of medicine and biology the book also develop interest in the field of environmental chemistry.
