Within the development process testing takesa significant portion of the overall product development cost (prototype production, sophisticatedtest equipment, ...). Finding success factors forautomotive testing makes a substantial economicpotential available for improving also the overallproduct development process. The author developed a success model in order to identify critical success factors. Informationmanagement is one of the key success factors in atest facility. The book also gives an overview ofsoftware requirements for IT solutions in order toboost efficiency and effectiveness in test labs.
