In this study we investigated three hypotheses. First that heart disease patients exhibit more hostile behaviour than controls, second that these patients present with more interpersonal problems, and third that these patients present with an insecure attachment style. To investigate these hypotheses we used the Hostility Scale, the Inventory of Interpersonal Problems, the Relationship Questionnaire, and the Reciprocal Attachment Questionnaire. According to our findings, the last two hypotheses were confirmed.
