Presenting the case of the Vancouver 2010 Olympics, this research draws planning lessons for Sochi 2014 and other future Olympic host cities and discusses policy implications for the International Olympic Committee.

Mokrushina, KseniaKsenia is originally from Sochi, the host city of the 2014 Winter Olympics. She is a Fulbright alumna and urban environmental planning expert holding Master of City Planning (2012) degree from MIT. Ksenia's professional experience includes working with ICLEI and the World Bank. Her main research focus is low emissions urban development.
