This color poster depicts the 107 cytoarchitectonic areas of Economo and Koskinas in the human cerebral cortex by lobe, with lateral (convex), median (midsagittal), dorsal (superior) and ventral (inferior or basal) views of the adult hemispheres. It includes a comprehensive table listing the Latin and English name of each cortical area, its symbol designation in the original lettering system of Economo and Koskinas, modification area numbers (EK 1 through EK 107 as provided in their 1925 'Textband'), as well as the corresponding Brodmann areas. The poster, based on Figures 32-33 and Table 7 in the Atlas (2008), measures 720x360 mm / 28x14 inches and is available in sets of 5 copies.
Autoren-Porträt von Constantin von Economo von San Serff, Georg N. Koskinas
Constantin von Economo von San Serff (1876 -1931) war ein bekannter österreichischer Hirnforscher und Psychiater. Er galt als ein Lieblingsschüler von Julius Wagner-Jauregg und war ab 1913 Privatdozent, ab 1921 dann Professor für Psychiatrie und Neurologie an der Universität Wien. Bekannt geworden ist Economo von San Serff für seine Entdeckungen der Kau-, Schluck- und Schlafsteuerzentren.Neben seiner medizinischen Tätigkeit zählt Economo von San Serff zu den frühen Aeronautikern. Ab 1910 war er Präsident des Österreichischen Aeroclubs.
