There are many thousands of campsites in Europe of varying quality: this guide contains impartially written reports on over 1,000, including many of the very finest, in no less than 22 countries. Each one is individually inspected and selected. This guide does not include sites in Britain and Ireland, for which we publish a separate guide, and it contains only a limited selection of sites in France, Italy, Spain and Portugal as we also publish separate guides for these destinations. We aim to provide you with a selection of the best, rather than information on all - in short, a more selective, qualitative approach.
