Three girls stand between them and victory: Norma Williams, trapped in the nightmare that is the Coven, the viciously misandric Sector of the Demi-Monde; Ella Thomas, enslaved by the spirit of Lilith-come-again; and Trixie Dashwood, consumed by her hatred for Heydrich and his evil ForthRight.

Rod Rees hat in seinem Leben schon viele verschiedene Kulturen kennengelernt. Er ist durch Afrika, dem Mittleren Osten, Bangladesch und Russland gereist und hat längere Zeit in Qatar, Teheran und Moskau verbracht. In Dhaka hat er eine pharmazeutische Fabrik aufgebaut, in Moskau ein Satelliten-Kommunikationsnetz errichtet und in Großbritannien ein Hotel designt. Inzwischen konzentriert er sich ausschließlich aufs Schreiben und lebt mit seiner Frau Nelli und ihren zwei gemeinsamen Kindern in der Nähe von Derby, England.
