Das Ende von Eddy ist sein autobiographischer Debütroman, der in Frankreich zu einem der meistdiskutierten Veröffentlichungen des Jahres und einem Nr.1-Besteller wurde. Édouard Louis studiert Soziologie an der École normale supérieure in Paris und hat einen Band über Pierre Bourdieu herausgegeben. 2014 erhielt er den Pierre-Guénin-Preis, der besonderes Engagement gegen Homophobie auszeichnet.
